A Message from the Board President

Dear Supporters of ROGUE MUSIC THEATRE ~

I'm proud to represent the RMT Board of Directors in introducing Li'l Abner to Grants Pass and Southern Oregon from the RCC Concert Bowl this summer. Tickets are on sale for performances July 12, 13, 14, and 19, 20, 21, 22, 2012, immediately from this website and soon from local Ticket Vendors.

The Board considered three major beloved musicals before deciding on Li'l Abner for its July 2012 production. Although each had its positive aspects, this was my favorite, hands-down. For one thing, Li'l Abner has over 50 characters! This gives us plenty of positions for community involvement -- and RMT is before all else a community theatre experience.  We'll be looking for cast members of all ages, shapes, and sizes.

Li'l Abner is also a production that lends itself to RMT's outdoor stage venue, with lots of energy from the dance numbers and lots of color in both scenes and costumes. A further amazing aspect is that although Li'l Abner first hit the stage in the 1950s, it is as current and relevant politically today as it was then.

As we move toward our July 2012 production, please join us: We'll be seeing you at community events like the Chamber of Commerce Consumer Expo, the Grants Pass Christmas Parade, and the 52nd Annual Boatnik Memorial Day Celebration. We look forward to meeting and serving you as you become RMT sponsors, members, and ticket-purchasers.

And we hope to see you at auditions in February 2012 as RMT brings Dogpatch USA to Grants Pass with Li'l Abner!
